People living in both places transport through Kinmen, domestic tourism are prevalent due to 2 days off on weekends, the transition of battlefield to tourist attraction in Kinmen has increased the number of tourists. This number is bound to increase as time goes on, which will cause an impact on transportation. In order to response to this, the Kinmen County government plans to build a gondola to alleviate the volume of traffic. The gondola has characteristics of quietness, safety, overcome the terrain with less impact on the environment, and is particularly loved by many countries. In this study, I will use the Gondola Construction Plan brought up by the Kinmen County Government as the case example, interview local environmental groups, residents, Representatives of the people , and foreign tourists using questionnaire to survey the attitude people have towards the construction, and the use of statistical software package SPSS version 17.0 for descriptive statistics and chi-square test to understand the correlation of people's opinions. With the results, recommendations will be made as reference for the decision-making to reduce social resources. The results of this study, over 50% of the Kinmen residents show high desire in taking the gondola. About 40% of foreign tourists would take the gondola depending on the fare, and only 30% are willing to ride it. Both foreign tourists and Kinmen residents believe that fares between NTD 50 and NTD 100-300 is reasonable. About 50% of the Kinmen residents would take the gondola to appreciate the aerial view of Taiwu Mountain and the ecological scenery; the other 50% would take the gondola because of the convenience in transportation. In addition, more than half of the residents and tourists are in favor of the development of the gondola as public-operated, and up to 90% of residents ride the willingness to revisit.
