Description
Summary:碩士 === 高雄醫學大學 === 運動醫學系碩士班 === 100 === Institute for occupational safety and Health(IOSH) in Taiwan, Their research showed 3rd musculoskeletal disorder(MSD) was neck pain(Male 11.9%;Female 14.7%). Previous studies already found the decreased cervical flexors、neck pain and neck disability in mechanical neck disorder. Scholar used the kinesio taping to improve neck pain and shoulder myofascial pain. The kinesio taping could reduce pain in a short period of time. The aim was (1) to compare torque of health and mechanical neck disorder subjects by Neck torque Measurement Instrument (2) to compare torque of Myofascial trigger points (MTPs) and Traditional taping methods (3) to discuss the correlation in pain, neck disability, fear of movement, computer time, and exercise habit. Forty health subjects(Male:20;Female:20) and eleven mechanical neck disorder subjects(Male:5;Female:6) were measured the torque of four direction of motion(flexion, extension, and bilateral rotation). Mechanical neck disorder subjects were randomly assigned to MTPs and traditional taping method. The taping muscles were respectively for Trapezius and cervical extension muscles. Each taping should be kept for three days and the interval of one month. The torque of cervical flexors was greater in health subjects than mechanical neck disorder subjects. In health group, the males were greater 40% torque than females. After the different taping method intervention, all of them improved the torque of cervical flexors. But MTPs was greater 0.0585±0.13(in‧lbs/kg) than traditional just in rotation torque of rotation to left (p<0.05). Computer time and flexion torque of flexion and rotation to right movement have the negative correlation(r=-0.676, r=0.000;r=-0.663, p=0.000). Mechanical neck disorder (MND) group was less torque than control group. Both of MTPs and traditional taping methods could improve the deep cervical flexors torque performance. Kinesio taping could improve the pain and disability with immediate in MND group.
