Summary: | 碩士 === 義守大學 === 資訊工程學系 === 100 === Wireless Local Area Networks are being extensively deployed. Most equipment is powered by a limited-capacity battery. How to effectively improve the throughput and energy saving, is a noteworthy issue. IEEE 802.11z Direct-Link transport mechanism used Access Point to forward the packet of Direct-Link Setup between source and destination stations. When source and destination already setup the Direct-Link mechanism, they will exchange data packets with ad-hoc mode, does not need transmitted through Access Point. In many IEEE 802.11 related products, station sent packets with the fixed maximum power of system. If we use an appropriate energy to sent packet not only can reduce energy consumption, but also to increase the channel reuse.
In this paper, we design an adaptive transmission power control mechanism , called ATPC, modify the IEEE 802.11 send packets through decision-making, select the appropriate transmission power to reduce the interference between stations, to improve the channel reuse and energy consumption.
