Taking the customers who had consumed in Western-style catering buffet in central Taiwan as the main targets of the study, 400 objects did the questionnaire for data collecting. 322 acceptable questionnaires were collected and the response rate is 80.5%. The statistical methods of this research include the descriptive statistics, frequencies distribution, independent-samples t-Test, One-Way ANOVA and Pearson's Product-moment Correlation. The research results revealed that a significant difference existed between different age groups (P<0.05) in satisfaction, as well as different incomes (P<0.05), but there’s no influence of other variables on satisfaction. There is a significant difference between different occupations (P<0.05) in recognition as well as different marital statuses (P<0.05), but there’s no influence of other variables on recognition. In addition, a positive correlation exited between recognition and satisfaction. Through the customers’ difference of satisfaction and recognition with Western-style catering buffet and the correlation between these two factors, in order to improve customers’ satisfaction and enhance the Western-style catering suppliers’ competiveness, some suggestions are proposed which can be the reference to the suppliers.
