碩士 === 義守大學 === 工業管理學系 === 100 === In the recent years, the impact of globalization and rapid environmental changes make the competition between companies more intense. When the consumer demand changes faster and become more different, companies must continuously modify product or service, as well as the business model. Business innovation allows companies to retain a competitive advantage in the competition. However, consumers do not usually take the initiative to inform their needs, and most of the time, they don’t even know what they need. If a company is able to grasp the consumer demand, or even create consumer demand, it can open up a blue ocean market. The purpose of this research is to solve the enrollment problem of Taiwan’s private university due to the low birth rate. After exploring the literature of the private university enrollment, this research applied TRIZ-based business innovative tools to identify consumer needs and to explore appropriate business innovation recommendation. This Study applies different types of business innovation tools that including root conflict analysis (RCA +), Business the Function Diagram (BFD), and TRIZ theory. The contribution of this research is that RCA + is useful in identifying the root cause of specific private institution’s enrollment and conflict, while BFD is useful for indentifying private institution’s problem and conflicts in general. After identifying the problems and conflicts, TRIZ contradiction matrix is used to resolve the conflicts and provides feasible solutions. Another important contribution to this research is to compare the usage situation of RCA+ and BFD, including the timing of use, characteristics, purposes, advantages and disadvantages. The results of this research can be used as a reference to the future of Taiwan's private universities for admission and strategy and competitive advantage, and hopefully provides a direction to the enrollment difficulties and reach the sustainable development goals of the school.
