Summary:碩士 === 義守大學 === 工業工程與管理學系 === 100 === The textile industry consists many characters. These characters are high demand uncertainties, short selling seasons and long manufacturing lead time. In order to reduce the excess inventories causing by the demand uncertainties, some markdowns from the promotions and end-of-season sales have been held by the retailers. These mark dows will influence the revenue of the apparell companies. How to reduce the excess inventories has become a very important issue for the retailers. Good selling prediction through good inventory strategies thus become a key factor for the apparell manufacturing. The main purpose of this research is to: (1) use the Sourcing Simulator for seasonal and non-seasonal merchandise in stock on the performance of the retail which include Quick Response, VMI, Newsboy and Target Weekly Supply, (2) implement the input-output relationship by using artificial neural network to determine the better markdown strategies for the various inventory models.
