During hospitalization after surgery, continuous passive exercises are taken in use to assist the patients with the implementation of rehabilitation exercises. However, the lack of proper rehabilitation aids after turning might reduce the will of the patients to perform rehabilitation exercises. Therefore, the researchers proposed to design home, easy, safe and easy access jack-towel and thera-band, as rehabilitation aids. Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the effect of lower extremity rehabilitation Status of the patients who had applied assisted home rehabilitation intervention after two weeks and one month of total knee arthroplasty (TKR). Methods: The quasi-experimental and longitudinal design collected the patients who have first unilateral total knee arthroplasty (TKR) that suffering from Osteoarthritis from orthopedic ward of a regional teaching hospital in southern Taiwan as samples. The sample number of enrolled control group and experimental group are both 20. Conventional treatment was carried in the control group after the total knee arthroplasty (TKR), while the experimental group in addition to conventional treatment, home rehabilitation aids was intervented. the effect of the lower extremity rehabilitation of the two groups were respectively evaluated three times: before surgery, two weeks, and one month after the total knee arthroplasty (TKR) . Results: Before the total knee arthroplasty (TKR), the control group and the experimental group was similar to the background, Two weeks and one month after total knee arthroplasty (TKR), the effect of lower limb rehabilitation of two groups was better than in pre-operation. And rehabilitation effect of the experimental group is more better than the control group Implications of practice: Nurses teach patients after joint replacement rehabilitation aids at home, and that is easy to use, does the ability to promote the activities of the lower limbs, and the daily living of self-care. 蘇麗智 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 87 zh-TW
