Description
Summary:碩士 === 華梵大學 === 機電工程學系博碩專班 === 100 === The main purpose of this thesis is to develop and prototype an ocean wave energy regeneration system, which consists of a buoy mechanism, two piezoelectric-converters, and an electric energy processing circuit. The buoy acquires ocean energy and drives the piezoelectric-converters through a transmission mechanism. Tips of the gears within the piezoelectric-converters deform a plural of piezoelectric bimorph to convert mechanical strains into electric energy. Through the research progress to design and prototype the system, it is necessary to fully understand the basic energy conversion principles for piezoelectric materials, the modes ocean waves generated, the techniques to process acquired energy, the CAD tools utilized to design and simulate the mechanism motions, and the practical skills to prototype and assemble the ocean wave energy regeneration system. A unique commercial IC, which is specifically designed to capture piezoelectric-generated energy, is implemented in a processing circuit to rectify and store the converted ocean wave energy to various capacitors through various resistors. Experiments using various specifications of same types of components are intended to investigate the ocean wave power generation capacities, and the charged-up capacitors are subsequently used to light up an LED or to drive a tiny motor for verifications.
