He considered that the essence of human beings was concluded to the universal truth – “the doctrine.” Humans appeared nature, yet they were sociality; therefore, the subjective idealism was formed gradual by gradual. They rebelled the doctrine so that they dropped themsleves into the straits. Hence, his concern of human life was the essence of his coping with the human world.
“Human World” was one of the seven units in “Zhuangzi”. His attitude toward coping with human world was discussed in the unit. It gave humans instructions about the key which they could face the chaotic human world with. “Clear conscience” was able to rid sensitive desire and sweep badness and obstacles. Humans could make their own lives surpass the emptiness in soul and traced back to the human essence. Moreover, humans could face the helpless world with “content destiny and free soul”. Humans could overcome material desire and free their souls and furthermore followed material changes through “following nature”. Humans would not be able to conflict with all the creatures and freed their souls out of the materials in a clear conscience. “Uselessness was usefulness” was the final conclusion. Besides, modesty was the key to cope with human world. Then humans were able to surpass the secular human “usefulness” and overtake the material world. To safeguard themselves, humans should be static, and indifferent to fame so as to be free in the human world. Then they would end their lives without weariness.
This research paper proposes the fable of “Human World” to discuss and research the thoughts and philosphy of Zhuangzi Hoping to assist modern people who inhabit in the “jungle” to face the confusing human relationship so as to avert straits and surpass human distress. It can safeguard lives, prevent from harmfulness, and search back the essence of mortal lives.
