For the schools, the effects include a reduction in pupil’s number, excessive teachers, less campus manpower, more vacant school space, and so on. Moreover, some factors such as the aging of school buildings, improper space design are seriously influencing the educational environment. Therefore, how to reuse the vacant school space effectively has become the momentum to activate the schoolyard. The research is to understand the present situation of the vacant school space reuse in Pai-Fu Junior High School. There are three main purposes: The first is to observe the present situation of vacant space in Pai-Fu Junior High School. The second is to understand the situation of vacant space reuse in Pai-Fu Junior High School. The third is to put forward the reusing suggestions of the vacant space.Region of this research for Pai ─ Fu Junior High School; as research survey questionnaires and interviews on Keelung Pai─Fu Junior School teachers and administrative staff, including principal, directors, teachers and administrative staff, full-time administrative staff. According to the researchers found, the following recommendations are made: First, for educational institutions and personnel of the proposed (A) Face the phenomenon of low-birth rate and other issues which are related to. (B) Education staff should put more efforts on building school features by planning vacant school space particularly. (C) Inspect the vacant school space periodically and avoid making vacant space again. (D) Combine community resources and features. Second, for the proposed future research. (A) In the study of school choice, increase the research school, compared with other schools.
