The first chapter is Introduction, first describing the research motivation and purpose, and then reviewing the results of previous studies and setting the scope of research, and finally explaining research methods and procedures of the elaboration.
The second chapter is Introduction to "Travellers and Magicians", which focuses on director Khyentse Norbu’s film-making background, as well as Bhutan's history, economy and culture by providing key points. This would be helpful to have a better understanding of the film and to discuss it in latter chapters.
The third chapter is Buddhist Principles and Cultural Symbols and Metaphors in the Formal Structure of "Travellers and Magicians", which analyzes Buddhist principles and cultural symbols and metaphors from four levels: "narrative structure ", " character structure " and " scene structure" of formal structure of "Travellers and Magicians", and important relevant figure Drukpa Kunley.
The fourth chapter is the Spiritual Guidance and Cultural Concern of Three Yanas of Buddhism in "Travellers and Magicians", which is based on the previous two chapters to further explore deeper meanings in the film, namely spiritual practices within Hinayana, Mahayana,Vajrayana implied in "Travellers and Magicians", and concerns and reflection upon cultural globalization nowadays as well.
The final chapter is Conclusion, which makes a summary of the previous chapters.
