Summary: | 碩士 === 輔英科技大學 === 環境工程與科學系碩士班 === 100 === Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) is an important air pollutant involving in the photochemical reactions. Previous studies point out that southern Taiwan often appears at night air layers where ozone is totally consumed at 400-800 meters above ground. Therefore, NO2 radiosonde become necessary to measure the vertical profiles of NO2 to understand the NO2 emissions aloft and the possible role of the NO2 on the elevated titration of ozone depletion layers. This study characterizes the FY-NO2SON sonde. We investigate the interference of NO, O3, SO2 and CO , the effects of temperature and pressure on the self-proeduced NO2 sonde(FY-NO2SON). As well, the FY-NO2SON sonde is evaluated using the environment simulation chamber and parallel comparison on the ground with commercial NOx monitors.
The findings showed that the interfering magnitudes of the pollutants are NO>O3>SO2>CO. The top two pollutants are NO and O3 with maximum interference between 1.26 ~1.90%; the reduction of PMT temperature per 1 oC will cause the increase of 1.07~2.15% of NO2 concentration; when the reference concentration of NO2 is 100 ppb, an reduction of pressure per 100 hPa will cause an decrease of 4.4~7.7 ppb of NO2 concentration; the environmental simulation experiments reveal that FY-NO2SON was capable of measuring vertical profiles of NO2 very similar to theory concentration; field parallel comparisons on the groundwith commercial NOx monitor have high correlations (R2=0.82~0.99). This study reveal that this NO2 radiosonde can actually be used to probe the vertical profiles of NO2 concentration in the atmosphere.
