However, it is relatively scanty to the study of hotel accommodation of old persons in Taiwan. The complaining intention of mature traveler regarding the hotel accommodation is discussed in accordance with the five dimensions of self-monitoring, innovativeness, product involvement, legal knowledge, and social support degree. The destination is going to develop the multi-directional view points of service quality of hotel lodging especially for the senior citizen.
Questionnaires of 300 copies were distributed in this study. The target of these questionnaires is aimed to senior citizens over 65 years of age. Invited senior citizens must be possessed the expierences of hotel lodging. Interviewed location is scatted in the neighborhood of village's office and club of senior citizen. The designated staff explained the destination of questionnaires, inquired the willings of survey and approciated time of filling out the form.
The research results are shown that a higher degree of self-monitoring is not inevitably the higher the degree of complaining when the senior travellers run into service mistakes in the period of hotel lodging. Equally, a higher product involvement is not the higher the degree of complaining. Both of two hypothesises mentioned above are not existed. A higher degree of innovativeness, legal knowledge, and social support degree of old persons is the higher the degree of complaining.
