Data in this study came from individuals, aged 0-12 listed on 2005 Taiwan National Health Interview Survey database (HISD). The variables included personal backgrounds, mental-physical conditions, health behaviors and BMI normality . After the data were analyzed via frequency distribution , Dalenius Hodges stratification method, association analysis, cluster analysis, and classification and Regression Trees (CART). We divided into two groups: aged 5-12and aged 2-4. The aged 5-12 children’s parents are middle-low educational level. Their average monthly income is NT 30000-50000 dollars. They live in new townships or others (silver-hair, agricultural , secluded townships) Most of the total family members are over 5 persons. The critical factors of BMI normality is the frequency of eating bread, cake, tea, cookies, poultry, meat, hamburgers every week. The aged 2-4 children’s parents are high educational level. Their average monthly income is over NT 50000 dollars. They live in middle or high urbanized cities. Total family members are 2-4 persons. The critical factors which affect BMI normality are how long the kids spend on watching TV and if the children go to cram school or not. WE can get the conclusions: The children’s BMI conditions are moderated by personal backgrounds. In addition, the main factor to affect children’s BMI is life style. The mental-physical condition doesn’t affect BMI obviously. 廖佩珊 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 44 zh-TW
