| Summary: | 碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 跨文化研究所語言學碩士班 === 99 === This paper studies on some certain sentence patterns of V-Qi-lai as the main focus by observing the meaning Qi-lai represents and the types of verb work with it in all sentence patterns listed, and also observing how Qi-lai functions in different patterns. Qi-lai, as a post-verbal complement, the meaning of itself is not concrete. The meaning changes with the content or state of the verb works with it. In the discussion of the literal meaning of Qi, Lai and Qi-lai, the verbal meanings of Qi were found to be similar to Qi-lai’s. Qi-qu, the counter form of Qi-lai, has stopped grammaticalizing and became out of use.
