碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 宗教學系 === 100 === New Age Seth Material represents the messages received from a superior-spirit claimed to be Seth by an American poet, Jane Roberts. She got them in her ecstatic conditions twice a week during the peorid from December 1963 to August 1984. This Material containing over 900 messages received during 21 years was all dictated by Jane Roberts as she received them. In the meantime, all of the messages were recorded stenographically by Robert F. Butts, the husband of Jane Robert. Afterward they compiled the texts to books which have been kept in the library of Yale University in United States of America. Seth Material involves widely, including the original theories of psychology, metapsychology, medicine, physics, etc. This research mainly discusses the related issues about the integrated ideas of health of mind, body and spirit in New Age Seth Material. Seth Material distinguishes itself from other ideas of diseases and health in general. It explores the concepts from mental and spiritual perspectives, rather than from the outward environmental aspects. Nowadays people pay much attention to integrating their bodies, minds and spirits. Seth Material could provide us some views different from those of the physical medicine. This study applies the method of document analysis to analyzing and generalizing a significant conclusion from the contents regarding the integrated ideas of health of mind-body-spirit and health care in Seth MaterialI. This thesis, according to the texts of Seth Material, tries to organize and expound systematically the concepts of diseases, health, medical treatment and religion, and health preserving.
