碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 日本語文學系 === 100 === This study takes Kimura Yuichi’s the wolf picture book series at least four books, "One storm night"," Wolf "," A wolf –Gonosuke’s hungry diaries" to analyze the image of wolf, were compared with the past children's stories to discover the similarities and differences, and to understand why Kimura’s the wolf picture book series are popular. The first chapter discusses the impact of modern Japanese picture books, and to analyze the relationship between " One storm night " and Japanese publishing and media. The second chapter analyzes the changes of the image of wolf in Japan and Western countries. Although there have positive image of wolf in Japanese fables and folktale, which are not general. On the contrary, the negative image of wolf in Bible and Aesop's Fables are the world’s well-known. Nowadays, due to the effect of post-modernism, the positive image of wolf works are going to be created continuously. The third chapter introduces the essentials of text at first, and then analyzes the image of wolf which are based on the struggle for existence in animal world, and confirms the relationship with Bible and Aesop's Fables. After that, analyze the image of lone wolf and the ingestion performances of three leading character is suppressed among the text. In conclusion, uses the third chapter to organize the images of wolf for Kimura’s the wolf picture book series. Lastly, the direction and shortcoming of future research are provided for researcher reference.
