Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 公共衛生學系碩士班 === 100 === Objectives: The purpose of this research is to identify how media humor information interventions have affected to the 8th grade students in Taoyuan County, Taiwan. The effects are including change of students’ evaluation of humorous expression, behavioral intention of humorous expression and literacy of humor information. Materials and Methods: This research has introduced the quasi-experimental research design by using purposive sampling methods, selecting the 8th grade students from one of the junior high schools in Taoyuan County (Northern Taiwan) to be the experimental subjects for 2 weeks of activities. Questionnaires will be given to the students prior and after the activities in order to assess further evaluations based on results of questionnaire. Materials have included 4 individual video clips expressed with humorous behaviours (body expressions, quick-witted reactions, self-devaluation, and devaluating others), as well as the additional 2 video clips expressed with the possible negative influences from humorous behaviours. Evaluations were completed by using software SPSS (version 17.0), descriptive statistics, chi-square tests, ANOVA, T-Test, paired T-Test, ANCOVA, Johnson-Neyman and Generalized estimating equation (GEE). Results: Based on the behavioural images by the future use of devaluating others, body expressions, quick-witted reactions, the ability to judge implicit messages, as well as the ability to differentiate between realities and delusions, this research has indicated a significant variation according to the experimental subjects. By comparing to the results of 2 individual groups based on the GEE analysis, the ability to judge implicit messages yet indicates a significant difference after taking full control of any control variable that can affect to the results of research. The remaining variables indicate no significant difference statistically. Conclusion: After several repeated experiments to the experimental objects, although there is a significant and effective variation being reflected to the video-based humorous expressions, evaluations, and the ability to verify the humorous messages; an invalid result has in fact applied to the ability to judge implicit messages between the 2 individual groups. As a result, this material-involved research has failed to meet the expected effectiveness for the reason that it was not eligible for the research hypothesis.
