In addition, by comparing the background variables concerning the athletes’ sexes, grades, the duration of participation and the kind of athletic team, the research tries to find out their interactive relation and mutual differences. The data were collected via a questionnaire, ‘the Survey of Junior-High-School Athletes’ Motivation and Satisfaction of Their Participation”, formulated by the author. 319 effective copies of the questionnaire were retrieved, which equals 95.22% in statistics. Factor analysis and statistics of responses from the respondents yielded the findings as follows: 1. The five factors of motivation are “satisfaction requirement”, “rewards and compliments” , ”training condition”, “peer relation”, and “a sense of achievement”. 2. While comparing the differences among the variants of different sexes, grades, participating times, and kinds of the school athletic team , we found out that in different sexes, the factors of “satisfaction requirement”, “rewards and compliments“, “training condition”, peer relation”, and “a sense of achievement” have reached a significant level. In different grades, the factor of “satisfaction requirement” has reached a significant level, In different participating times , the five factors though have reached an insignificant level , In different kinds of the school athletic team , the factor of “rewards and compliments” has reached a significant level . 3. The five factors which influences athletes’ satisfaction are “coach quality”, “health and achievement”, “team member interaction”, “self performance ”, and “important support from others.” 4. While comparing the differences among the variants of different sexes, grades, participating times, and kinds of the school athletic team , we found out that in different sexes, the factors of “coach quality”, “team member interaction”, and “important support from others.” have reached a significant level .In both different grades and different participating times, the factor of “important support from others” has reached a significant level. In different kinds of the school athletic team, the factors of “health and achievement” and “important support from others” have reached a significant level . 5. To sum up, between the five factors of participation motivation and the five factors of satisfaction factors, there is positive relation which also has reached to a significant level and the degree of the relation ranges between 0.199 and 0.655.
