Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 資訊工程所 === 100 === In the multi-hop mobile ad hoc network, mobile nodes are usually battery-driven so designing a power-saving routing protocol is an important issue. Since the distance between nodes will affect the transmission success rate, the rate will be higher when the distance is short and it makes the re-transfer times fewer and power consumption smaller. Thus, power-saving routing protocols proposed by the previous works usually selected a more hopping but short-distance route to transfer data. However, the successor nodes of the sender and the receiver may receive the transferring data properly if the transfer distance is short and the successors are in the transferring range so this may make data redundant. Besides, the power consumption may increase when nodes moving if the transfer distance changes which makes the problem of redundant package/data worse. We propose a new routing protocol that makes nodes which received data repeatedly notify other nodes the data it held to save re-transferring power consumption and the sender will modify/eliminate some nodes in the route to decrease unnecessary transfers if change of the route makes the problem of redundant data worse. Also, the proposed protocol will search continuing nodes to transfer data to lower power consumption if nodes moving make the transfer rate between some nodes degraded.
