Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 資訊工程所 === 100 === Wireless sensor networks have been widely used in many real-life scenarios, and have become more and more important in recent years. However, network connectivity is necessary for sensor network applications. Due to limited energy, a sensor node may deplete its energy and thus lead to the network partition. How to restore network connectivity in this time is very important. There are a few studies about this issue. However, most of them need to detect critical nodes in advance, and thus lead to unnecessary energy consumption. Hence, in this paper we propose a distributed coverage-based connectivity restoration (DCCR) which just needs a few nodes to execute critical nodes detection and considers coverage rate, residual energy and distance etc. to choose a backup node. And then find the proper location that the backup node will move to. In addition, we also design an effective maintenance mechanism when a sensor node fails suddenly. The simulation results demonstrate that our proposed scheme outperforms DARA and NORAS in terms of coverage rate and residual energy.
