Summary:碩士 === 大葉大學 === 設計暨藝術學院碩士在職專班 === 100 === The worship culture is tightly connected with the living of people in Taiwan. Confronted with various uncertainty in lives, people often resort to belief in supernatural force for a steady and harmonious life. And among this worship culture, gold and silver joss paper plays a very important role. The research first collected document data to understand the development of paper money for worships in Taiwan, and next presented the variety of the paper money for worship in a systematic measure. Then all the data was organized and compared with the information collected from field survey. The result shows that the styles and contents of paper money for worships sold in stores or temples for use change with time;. from the traditional handmade to machine-made mass production, and from artistic style to delicate but mundane style. The research tried to reshape the image of paper money from the promotion of Jhunan bamboo paper artistic cultural industry, and it also endeavored to preserve the cultural assets from the aspects of graphic meaning on paper money, delicacy, delicacy, environmental protection and quantities. And we wish that the stories contained in the paper money can be made known through education in order to elicit people’s feelings and authority’s attention toward the special folk art in Taiwan.
