Summary: | 碩士 === 大葉大學 === 管理學院碩士在職專班 === 100 === This research explores correlations between job stress, leisure coping, and psychological health among elementary school teachers in Taoyuan County. The releasing number of questionnaire accords with the proportion of teachers by scale of school. This research adopts “convenience sampling” to survey 8363 current teachers (including teachers holding concurrent administrative position) of 2010 academic year at 188 public elementary schools in Tauyuan County. Total of 35 schools were sampled, 500 questionnaires were distributed and 451 valid copies were retrieved. The analysis method includes reliability analysis, Descriptive statistics, Independent t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, Multiple Regression Analysis Stepwise.
The survey suggests the awareness of job stress of elementary school teachers in Tauyuan County is in middle level and stress of adjusting to changes is the most significant. The main way of leisure copping is to adopt recreation with positive emotions. Psychological health of elementary teaches in general are good. To sum up, the results of hypothetical verification are as follows:
1. Significant difference in job stress exits among elementary school teachers based on their educational background and holding of official position.
2. Significant difference in leisure coping exits among elementary school teachers based on their gender.
3. No significant difference in psychological health exits among elementary school teachers based on their backgrounds.
4. The correlation between job stress and psychological health is negative.
5. The correlation between leisure coping in all respects and psychological health is not significant.
6. Job stress and leisure coping in part significantly has significant prediction towards psychological health. “Student behavior” has higher prediction towards psychological health.
Finally, this research explores the results and proposes suggestions as reference for formulating education policy, teacher welfare policy and succeeding researchers.
