Therefore, the aim of this study is to clarify the life adjustment and academic problems faced by Chinese students studying in Taiwan universities and investigate how those above factors affect their willingness to come back to Taiwan for an advanced de-gree and highly recommend Taiwan schools to their friends and families. There are two processes in the study. In the first process, 169 questionnaires were distributed to Chinese students studying in 2 universities in northern Taiwan and 1 uni-versity in central Taiwan. There were 121 valid responses. In the second process, Indi-vidual in-depth interviews were conducted face to face with 6 Chinese students in 2 universities in northern Taiwan. The data gathering from in-depth interviews were used to clarify ambiguous answers received in the questionnaire survey. The study results are inducted as the follows: First, due to the same use of language between Taiwan and Mainland China, the life adjustment and learning problems expe-rienced by Chinese students were relatively minor. Because of the special Cross-Strait historical, political and economical relationships, as well as different educational system, culture and customs, Chinese students have some culture shock and the problem of adjustment to the Taiwan environments. The intensity of culture shock depends on personal flexibility and tolerance of ambiguity. However, the longer they stayed in Taiwan, the better they adjusted to the way of life. Second, Chinese students were highly satisfied with academic freedom, the friendly suitable appropriate assistance provided by Taiwan teachers, school faculty and staff. In this study, we discovered that Chinese students contain considerable satisfaction with both of learning and life environment in Taiwan.
