Some enterprises in technology advanced countries had already started the research and development of the 3D display technologies to bring the display image more close to real vision of human eyes. As a result, the demand and application of 3D image display are getting big momentum. After years of research and development, 3D display technologies have reached a certain high level. Currently, there are many kinds of stereo display related products on the markets, such as 3D TV, 3D mobile phone, and even 2D/3D switchable products. For 3D TV, the technology with shutter glasses is a more mature one. In this thesis, the control of the scanning back-light to improve the quality of the shutter 3D display is proposed. By controlling the time and section of back-light of display during play back, the cross-talk (ghosting) has been decreased immensely and therefore, in crease the quality of 3D image.
