First, we construct the basic model of FMCW radar under the interference situation, then observe the performance of signals of transmitter and receiver with interfering signals by coding with MATLAB. However, it would raise the false alarm rate if our radar has the same frequency as the other radar does. Therefore, we add a frequency-hopping mixer at the transmitter to mix an extra frequency with the original carrier, then the interference would shift out of the bandwidth of low-pass filter so we can detect the goal accurately and lower the false alarm rate as well. Furthermore, through numerous simulations with CA-CFAR and CAGO-CFAR, we can successfully eliminate the interference by observing the results.
