Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 商業設計研究所 === 100 === Incense Use Culture is an essential part of Chinese culture. Since ancient times, incense has served as a daily necessity in our lives and with the flourishing and prosperous of society and economy, this Chinese incense culture not only develops vigorously, but also hands down continuously in our modern society. Besides, in recent years the incense industry in Taiwan is growing and spreading increasingly; this development draws much attention to the design of incense. In the bibliography chapter, at first the author organized the development of Chinese incense culture from Han dynasty based on the evolution of incense use culture and further introduced the variation of incense in every time period. In addition, the author also arranged the worldwide development of incense to examine the western use of incense. According to the modern design of incense, the author took those incense designs from current sale brands of Taiwan, Japan and France as examples to make analysis, while at the same time he made this paper work based on the results, integrated and compared of the bibliography and analysis mentioned above. Furthermore the author expected that he can create novel incense combinations under the circumstances that people pay more attention to culture and hoped that this work can provide reference materials for those who participate in design work. In design creation, the author desired to combine the eastern incense use culture with the western incense products. The selections, representing eastern incense, would include incense sticks, incense cone and incense coil that are passed down from ancient Chinese incense culture and for the eastern incense products would be indoor perfume and incense bag that are extensively used in contemporary lives. The author not only connected the two diversified incenses, but also added modern design style to present it as an incense gift package. This creation would be original modern incense as well as an enhancement of the popularization of incense culture in our contemporary lives.
