Today's electronics industry developed rapidly with the replacement, directly contributing to the development of the instrument industry and competition. But in the past years, the number of times for research the instrument industry is very few, this study is to explore through literature and qualitative interviews, in order to classify the results of interviews to describe the electronic equipment industry, the key success factors.
After the literature review, this study choice Leidecker & Bruno(1984) proposed the analysis of critical success factors method to research this topic. The main research method is through the collection of market information;To interview the research objective of G Instrument Company within the organization for sales, marketing and R&D departments .Also outside the organization for the instrument industry experienced professionals to get electronic instrument industry the idea of critical success factors associated with suggestions.
The results showed that the success of electronic equipment industry will mainly be influenced by several factors as below:
1. R &D’s manpower and key technologies
2. Brand
3. The combination of products with new industries
4. Professional and immediate service
In the interview, we also found that, although the duties of the respondents with the service firms, but more or less mentioned the importance of R&D capabilities. To obtain the expertise and technical, foreign companies often mergers and acquisitions (M&A) or hire with relevant experience or talent to break through the bottleneck. In contrast, domestic firms in cross-border merger or looking for talent from other companies will be more conservative, so required to make more effort to breakthrough in key technologies.
Through the interviews and information collected, the market leader in electronic instruments have a very clear of the first mover advantage, backward in addition to the G instrument company has expertise to be a breakthrough; products can be combined with emerging industries and the continuing professional and real-time service, consumers will be provided by brand preferences. But all of the key factors are not reached in the short term; it need to rely on forward-looking strategies leading choice to select the appropriate resources to form in the inter-industry competitive advantage.
