The perm machine can be minimized by using the prototype of perm machines available in the market and also using the touchpad as a user interface with LCD display. The touchpad currently sets 4 buttons as on/off control, temperature/time switch, increase adjusting and decrease adjusting. The implementation of button is adopted with charge-transfer capacitive touch button which have the merits of quick reaction and no mechanical loss traditionally for switching. Therefore, we take it to replace the traditional button. Finally, using PIC 16F73, a control monitoring system is constructed. The heating time and temperature of perm cabbage can be controlled according to the user’s temperature setting and time setting. And the operation status of perm machine can be displayed on the LCD which enables user at any time to know the current temperature and heating time of the state.
