Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國科技大學 === 土木與防災設計研究所 === 100 === Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) was introduced for efficiency analysis on the quantity of duties given to fire brigades at Banqiao, Zhonghe, Xinzhuang and Sanchong, New Taipei City. The study aimed to find out the efficiency of individual brigade and help fully utilize manpower and vehicles with limited resources offered by government. With this concept in mind, 20 fire brigades in the areas above were selected as the objects of study. The numbers of “fire fighters,” “volunteer fire fighters,” “fire engines,” “ambulances” and “fire hydrants” were chosen as the input, while those of “dispatches for fires” and “dispatches of ambulance” as the output. The input-oriented models of CCR and BCC were used for efficiency analysis, dual variable analysis, sensitivity analysis, return to scale analysis and efficiency score ranking. From the results of this research, we can preliminarily learn that ten of these fire brigades haven't achieve relative efficiency rate at present. The reasons why it's really caused, as well as the right direction and the extent to improve can all be taken as reference to help decision makers improve the efficiency of fire brigades.
