Description
Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 營建管理學系碩士班 === 100 === Lanyu (Orchid Island), with an area of 45 square kilometers, lies off the southeastern coast of Taiwan, 49 nautical miles from Taitung. The island has possessed abundant ecological resources and an unique precious aboriginal culture. The Tao tribe is the native resident in the island and the below-ground house is one of its traditional cultures. The Taiwan government had built public family housing in the island, which is similar to that in Taiwan, forcing the modification of its traditional living and dwelling space. In addition, the traditional houses have been changing with time due to the influence of modernization. It is during this process that the traditional architectural characteristics have been severely damaged. This research tries to apply the concepts of green architecture and the languages of its traditional architecture to the new below-ground house design for Lanyu. This study first, through literature review, determines the major and minor factors to be used in the initial assessment framework. Then, through expert interviews and questionnaires, establishes the assessment framework. Finally, the Delphi method is used to verify and finalize those factors to be used in the assessment framework when the green architecture is applied to the traditional houses in Lanyu.
