Further more, diagnostic assessment provides better understanding of teaching and learning According to the diagnostic information which provided teachers teaching suggestions and learner appropriate remedial measures. This assessment result also supports advice for modify the exam questions. Cognitive diagnostic assessment methods have many different ways to assess and diagnose students' cognitive learning, this study applied Rule-Space Model (Rule-Space Model) invented by Tatsuoka in 1983. RSM is designed for learning concepts and cognition properties, analysis, sorting, and other students on the subjects of cognitive diagnostic assessment measure. It tries to find out students' prior knowledge, provides students with learning weaknesses and provides remedial information for teachers. The study subjects were 122 sophomore students of Dept. of Information Management. Students were all study “Business Data Communications” course. This study applied the mastered degree of knowledge by students to plan a learning path for students. This study established the potential knowledge structure which helps students analyze the combination of attributes and learning path, and the planning of this for learning path. The study can provide students with the knowledge structure in the process of building the new teachers and provide recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of teaching.
