Structured interviews were conducted with 21 local students, who have contacted with at least more than one international students, from 18 universities in Taiwan(9 male students and 12 female students). Qualitative data (interview transcripts) was collected from in-depth interviews and “concept mapping” was used for data analysis in order to understand these students’ points of view on the internationalization policies of the government administration. Five main themes emerged from the analyses of the interview transcripts: 1. Acculturation: understanding of the current condition on nationalities, languages, food, religions, and culture exchange. 2. Inter-relationship: understanding of the interaction and influences among the teachers, local students, and international students in or out classes. 3. Teaching quality assurance: understanding of the teaching quality in class and how it affect the development of students’ professional career. 4. Differences on education systems: understanding of local students’ opinions on scholarship and selection for international students under school policies. 5. School environment: understanding of the safety consideration on students’ dormitory or accommodation. Liwen Chen 陳俐文 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 60 zh-TW
