Taiwan had no exception, unpaid leave, salary reduction, factory close, and even bankruptcy just name a few. Comparing to others, the case company was less impacted by the financial tsunami due to its on-going contract work with long time clients. However, the case company was caught off guard in 2008 when a sub-contractor suddenly stopped working on the outsourced project. The case company had not detected its coming, nor resolved the work stop issue right away. The mismanagement of the work stop issue caused the case company’s client to raise concerns.   This research investigates the work stop issue at the case company, taking Crisis Management perspective.The outcome of this research suggests the following five points for the case company to consider: 1.To establish a permanent crisis management team that has the ability to prevent and manage crisis. 2.To work out a plan that responses rapidly when crisis occurs. 3.To authorize and empower first-line employees to solve crisis problems as soon as possible. 4.To practice the company’s crisis management plan frequently to avoid confusing when crisis does occur. 5.To learn lessons by reviewing the mistakes made.
