Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 課程研究所 === 100 === The purpose of this study was to explore the Taiwan female PhD students’ culture shock, social support and their cross-culture adjustment. The research motivations are to understand what culture distance and cultre shcok that the Taiwan female PhD students face, to know the social support that they obtain and realize the cross-learning process that they experience. An in-depth qualitative interview method was employed in this study. In-depth interview with three Taiwan female PhD students was to investigate their cross-learning process that they experience. The research results are obtained and concluded as shown below: First, Taiwan female PhD students experienced the culture distance, culture identidy and the culture shock with the communication in foreign languages. Second, social support is the important way for the Taiwan female PhD students to accomplish their PhD degree. Third, the Taiwan female PhD students experienced the five periods of the cross-culture adjustment process, such as (1) Euphoria (2) Depression (3) Sufferance (4) Adjustment (5) Acceptance.
