Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 100 === A multimode boost DC-DC converter with negative current detection is presented in this thesis. This is achieved by utilizing a negative inductor current detection and the delay-line control circuit to prevent wasted current from flowing through the inductor negatively when operating in the discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). By using delay-line control, deviations in current caused by PVT variations can be minimized and the efficiency is also improved by reducing unnecessary power dissipation. Moreover, multimode operation can improve the efficiency for the applications with wide load current range. The proposed regulator has two operation modes according to different load currents. The two operation modes are pulse-width modulation (PWM) and pulse-frequency modulation (PFM) respectively. Finally, this design uses a TSMC 0.18um 1P6M technology to realize the circuit of this multimode boost DC-DC converter for fuel cell systems.
