The concept of usability is based on user-centered design principles; the concept of sociability is anchored in how system designs to support the social relationships among users. The digital content is based on a Christian website, "Oh My God youth site" (OMG). The literature review includes the topics, such as: Christian, youth and internet; usability (sociability). The subjects are twenty in total; they are students recruited from various junior high schools, senior high schools and universities. The techniques used were triangulation, including questionnaire survey, focus group interview, and think aloud to collect data from various perspectives, in order to understand the problems or situations in both usability and sociability of the OMG site. The results showed high scores for both usability as well as the sociability. But, the result also showed low scores from female users for both usability goals and the sociability, and has a significant difference, indicating the design team should be more focused on making the site to comply with female users, and to understand their social needs. There were no significant differences among students from senior high schools, high schools and universities for using the OMG site. According to the focus group interview data, subjects believe that religion is a kind of spiritual nourishment to fulfill their social needs. Their motives of visiting religious site are mainly for studying Bible and downloading hymns. The results of employing think aloud technique showed that the interface design of OMG site need to be revised to better fit users’ usage habits. Suggestions for usability include reduce the amount of texts, and increase the amount of pictures. For improving sociability of the OMG site, the suggestion is to link the OMG site with external social networks to increase the chances of interaction among users. 宋倩如 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 148 zh-TW |
