Medical treatment environment changed dramatically; patients can visit the hospitals at will at the low cost. Most medical institutions incorporate strategies that can control cost but keep healthcare quality and provide sound service to patients. Due to technological progress, both the ecological environment of healthcare service and the treatment of the diseases have rapidly changed. In addition, patients have more senses about the treatment and care qualities. Facing the environment variability and uncertainty, hospitals should not only increase their care quality in medicine but also provide a flexible way to tune their hospital information system efficiently and effectively. Hospital Information System had played an important role in auditing and monitoring the poteial medical errors. Its additional responsibility is to ensure that each caring flow follows the desired schedules without errors. As a result, the patient safety can be guaranteed. Incoprating the cloud computing is a new trend in healthcare industry. The cloud computing can adjust itself to the diversity of requirements of software and hardware resources. This paper aims at developing a Monitoring Service for healthcare based on Cloud Computing, which provides effective, effient and flexible service for healthcare to audit and monitor the healthcare process. A set of experiments are performed in Microsoft Azure cloud planform to show the feasibity of the system. The results show that cloud computing applications can reduce development cost and integrate heterogeneous medical information system. In addition, the stable storages of the cloud platform can provide reliable and timely information. Comparing to the service if provided in local server, the services running in the cloud platform can provide the same efficiency. Even in the burst of the loading, the services in cloud computing can automaticaly adjust its hareware resource to meet the dramatical request. We also conduct empirical survey. The results of satisfaction survey showed that the average satisfaction scores are higher than 4 points, which mean that the provided service in cloud platform can meet the requirement of healthcare industry, end users and patients.
