With the concepts of those four categories, this research revealed the fact that best represented the meaning of explicit female leadership charateristics and the process of appropriately acting out the principals’ roles. Those concepts served as a core category of this research. Also, through the connecting of the descriptive story line, the concepts of the categories were found and the core categories were connected. As a result, the theories of female principals’ process were established. Lin, Ming-Dih 林明地 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 314 zh-TW |

Abstract
This research, through the socialization perspective, discussed six female elementary principals’ socialization experience and process in the real educational field. Based on the characteristics of purpose and theme of this research, researchers invited six participants to participate this research. The used research tools are pre-drafted interview outlines. The researcher utilized snowball rolling method to interview each participant one after another. Each participant was interviewed twice. The data collected from the interviewees were analyzed by grounded theory. The concepts were extracted from raw data, then sort into categories. There were four categories. The researcher connected the relation between categories and therefore, constructed the socialization theories of female principals.
Those four categories are: the characteristics of role as a principal under the awareness of female principals, the interaction experience of female principals in context, the key factor and the force in socialization process of female principals and the transformation in female principals’ socialization. In the characteristics of principal’s role under the awareness of female principals, the female principals carried various roles and accentuated load of responsibilities. Also, their role awareness as a principal comes from the observation of those male principals.
In the interaction experience of female principals in context, the female principals need to observe the status of organization which they are in. Within the existing gender stereotypical image of organization in context, female principals tend to hide their female leadership charasteristics and reveal their leadership charasteristics towards neutral. Although under the influence of key person and asisting force along their proces of socialization, the most critical factor comes from female principals themselves. In the process of socialization, female principals continuously experience the process from chaotically confused, exploratory try out, adaption, and finally to reach the stable phase. At last, female principals truly expressed their true selves with female leadership characteristics, established and accepted principal as a role, became a real principal and that was the result of the socialization process.
