This PHBTT was characterized using varions instruments. In our work, we have synthesized the novel monomer by coupling a bithiophene containing boronic ester functional group and a thiophene containing bromo functional group. We have also found that it is possible to achieve appropriate chain length by controlling the reaction parameters such as concentration of monomer、amount of FeCl3 and reaction temperature. The NMR spectrum and LC-MS spectrum shows that the monomer has high purity. The structure of PHBTT was proved by NMR, and the surface appearance was observed by AFM. TGA and DSC results corroborate the good thermal stability and non-crystallinity of PHBTT. The absorption spectrums were analyzed by Uv-vis, and the band gap was investigated by CV.
