Description
Summary:碩士 === 國防大學理工學院 === 電子工程碩士班 === 100 === The application of unmanned vehicles (UV) was limited in the military battlefield in early days. Now, with pluralistic development in the civilian applications, e.g. sea level aerial reconnaissance, land or underwater surveillance and mining, the unmanned vehicles can carry out the human driving or dangerous tasks in a safe and cost-effective manner. At present, the functionality of a mobile phone extends from the basic voice communications to the internet mobile commerce and multimedia entertainment. With built-in digital camera, Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver, bluetooth and internet connectivity, a smart phone of the third generation (3G) mobile telecommunications can carry out the tasks getting the image around the UV, indicating the location of the UV and transfering these data to ground base station immediately. Benefited from advanced manufacturing technologies, a slim, light and versatile 3G smart phone can simplify the communication circuit design and easily integrate with the other parts for the UV system design, compared to the traditional communication systems. With this trend, this thesis will focus on the implementation issues for using a 3G smart phone to replace the traditional UV communication system.
