Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 資訊傳播學系 === 99 === The purpose of this study is to develop instructional material for automated composition software applied to the sixth-grade elementary school students. The instructional material helps the students accomplish personal music composition including the basic arrangement. The study uses “outcomes-based assessment model for student learning” and “Kirkpatrick''s four-level evaluation model” to evaluate the students’ learning effectiveness in reaction level concerning learning satisfaction and learning level relating to learning achievement, learning attitude and learning composition. After reliability and validity is established in the pre-experimental design, the experimental instruction proceeds and analyzes the influence of different backgrounds including group, gender and music prerequisite in the true-experimental design. The results demonstrate that whether quantitative statistics or qualitative survey, the experimental group using the instructional material of the automated composition software has obviously better learning effectiveness in both reaction level and learning level, especially for the male and insufficient prerequisite students. Hopefully, this study is useful to the application of instruction and provides for educators and institutions to make the best efficacy of the instructional material related to automated composition software.
