The input method of virtual keyboard is suitable for visually disabled people to operate. The research develops a colored Braille paper that is good-using for visually disabled people. The colored Braille paper can be printed by a colored printer to replace the traditional Braille computer keyboard. This system uses video camera to capture the user’s hand region to analyze the variation of finger contours. This study determines whether fingers touch or hit the Braille paper according to optical flow algorithm and detects the keystroke in colored Braille paper. Finally, in accordance with keystroke combination of what fingers touch or hit, the module transfers the combination to the corresponding symbol and then input to the computer.
