In recent years, the building is often installed with lift for transport convenience. The lift is playing a role of vertical connections on each floor in the building, but when building fire occurs, the vertical lift shaft through the building may be expanded to become the way of fire spread. Vertical divisions is capable of controlling fire within a certain time in the floor area to prevent the building fire spread vertically from the fire floor expanding toward the other floors of the building. In this design, the lift doors are often the most vulnerable openings in fire division. This study is using the finite element analysis software ANSYS for simulating the structure of lift fire doors, changes of the structural strength has been observed under high temperature and rigidity under different characteristics of the design factors. The deflection of lift fire doors has been probed by different materials and design factors under the high temperature.
