Clusterin involved in cell apoptosis and cancer, neurodegenerative conditions including Alzheimer's disease and other diseases. The object of this study was to investigate whether Clusterin and the antioxidant capacity becomes unbalanced as a result of aging. The research subjects were the control group of 60 young people, male and female, of an average age at 19.2 and the aging group of 105 elderly citizens, averaged at 70.2 years of age. Blood routine on plasma was employed to test the biochemical values and the Clusterin. Capillary electrophoresis was also employed to evaluate the GSSG and GSH concentrations of Glutathione in blood and the concentration of 8-Hydroxy-2′-deoxyguanosine (8-OhdG) in urine. According to research results, the variation of Clusterin was not significant; in antioxidant capacity of the elderly, the GSH, GSSG and 8-OhdG did change with age (P<0.05). the malondialdehyde (MDA) did not change with age (P>0.05). The RBC, WBC, Hb, Hct, MCV, MCHC , BASO%, BUN, UA, T.Chol and TG did significantly between the elderly and the young (P<0.05).
