Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 視覺傳達設計系碩士班 === 99 === "The Conversation between Modern Women and Qing-zhao Li" presents the values of women in feudal times and modern times in the way of creating images. “The voices of women” is the subject of modern women. It means the modern women should have their own thoughts. “Qing-zhao Li” is standing for women in feudal times, and we extracting the independent spirit, the ability of independent thinking and critical thoughts of Qing-zhao Li, as the example of modern women to have their opinions. First, in the pre-stage of the work, we collect historical documents related to the female images, and view the restrictions imposed on women under patriarchal ideology. Then, stand in the point of view of “Women as Sign” to interpret the meaning of female images from patriarchal ideology, mass media, and contemporary art that applied in visual communication design. The content of the image works is divided into three series, namely the traditional series, rigid series, and the beauty series. The image works present in 15 images. There are 5 works in traditional series, and it expresses women trying to get out from the room called "boudoir," to escape the female image set from the traditional culture. There are 4 works in rigid series, and it presents gender stereotypes deeply rooted in the heart of the community. There are 6 works in beauty series that showing women doing ridiculous acts in pursuit of beauty. The artworks are all expressed by Chinese Flower-and-Bird painting techniques, combined with the phantom synthesis techniques. Through the artworks, with digital printing way to exhibit, we re-conceptualize the value of being a woman and attempt to extend the thinking for the public.
