Summary:碩士 === 雲林科技大學 === 應用外語系碩士班 === 99 === The intention of this study was to investigate the relation between a leader’s listening effectiveness and staffing effectiveness and their causal link. Through reviewed literature, this study hypothesized that listening effectiveness is positively related to staffing effectiveness. Quantitative study was conducted to collect data. The instrument was questionnaire consisted of two sections:Listening Effectiveness Inventory (LEI), and Staffing Effectiveness Scale (SES). 668 valid questionnaires were reported from participants, who were employees from different industries in Taiwan, by utilizing snowball sampling and convenience sampling. Data was analyzed through scientific statistical methods, including Pearson’s Correlation, and Linear Regression to verify the proposed hypotheses in this research. The findings suggest that (1) listening effectiveness is positively related to staffing effectiveness, and that (2) listening effectiveness is significant in predicting staffing effectiveness, particularly, the dimension of implementation. Based on the findings, some implications are submitted as a reference for practitioners and future research in related domain.
