AFM has been a tool adapted to this development since its high resolution and simple need in sample preparation. But AFM has its limit in the repositioning of the probe over the same cell, after moving away from it. By integrating a self-designed sample stage, a cell identification grid and image software technique, a cell finding mechanism was developed in this research. The identification of apoptotic cells were assisted by CCD’s image of a fluorescence microscope. As a conclusion, under the help of sample stage CCD, AFM could identify a single cell and acquire its membrane information. The cell apoptosis was induced by H2O2.
