Subjects are the students in the sixth grade in one of the elementary school in Chiayi County. There are twenty-six students in this class. They are divided into two groups. One is the experimental group and the other one is the control group. The experimental group received digital mind maps teaching on social science, and they were taught by the researcher in the computer lab. Students in the control group were taught by social science teacher in the ordinary classroom. The students of the two groups were first asked to fill out the questionnaire of the learning motivation on social science. After five weeks’experiment, the students of the two groups both received the questionnaire of the learning motivation and took the test of the learning of effectiveness on social science. According to the results of the study, the students have better learning motivation on social science after they received mind maps teaching. Although the learning effects of the group of students who received digital mind maps teaching are not better than the other group of students, it is still helpful for the students.
