The purpose of the study is to examine the relationship between international diversification and firm performance under Taiwanese context and we also further discussed the configuration effect of geographic diversification, foreign sales ratio, country diversification. Besides, moderating effect of product diversification is included as well. For statistical analysis, we used STATA v.11.0 to analyze the ten-year panel data. Two-stage least squares (2SLS) were used as the main statistical method to testify our framework and hypothesis. This study further used foreign sales ratio and country diversification as endogenous variables to establish simultaneous equations. Our result indicates that the relationship between international diversification and performance will affected in different level of product diversification. The notable fact is that in low level of product diversification, lower foreign sales ratio results in better performance; and the lower country diversification results in better performance as well. Moreover, foreign sales ratio and country diversification does have impact on firm’s production diversification. The results and managerial implications are demonstrated in detail in the last chapter.
